Sacred Dancers
Mission Statement
The St. James Children ’s Sacred Dance Ministry is made up of children in grades four through eight who are committed to:
- To worship God through dance by using the entire body to praise the Lord;
- Expressing God’s Word through movement;
- Encouraging spiritual reflection, growth, prayerfulness, thankfulness, and a sense of connectedness/community through dance;
- Creating an environment which draws people into a deeper experience of the mystery celebrated; and
- Ministering to one another in and through both dance and prayer
*St. James School Children participate in all school liturgies.
All members of the St. James Children’s Sacred Dance Ministry practice weekly and are required to attend the Saturday rehearsal prior to each Sunday Children’s Liturgy. Saturday rehearsals are on the following dates:
