Liturgical Reader
There are several ways to participate in the ministry of Liturgical Reader or Lector.
As a Saturday vigil or Sunday Reader you proclaim the sacred Scripture at Eucharist one weekend a month.
As a Weekday Reader you are able to proclaim the sacred Scripture at Weekday Eucharist. Monday, Wednesday, Friday or Saturday mornings at 8:00 AM or Tuesday and Thursdays at 5:30 PM.
As a Child Reader your family members are able to proclaim the sacred Scripture at children’s liturgy.
And as a Special Occasion Reader you can choose to proclaim God’s word during Holy Days.
For more information please contact Pat Stockdale through the Parish Center at 375-5887.
You may also choose to participate in the proclamation of God’s word with children as a Lay Presider of the Word.
Lay Presiders of the Word proclaim and break open the sacred word with children in grades K-8 at the Sunday 9am or the 11:00am liturgy and other special times a year. From November through June Children’s Liturgy of the Word is also at the Saturday vigil at 4:30.
