RELIGIOUS EDUCATION

RITES OF CHRISTIAN INITIATION FOR ADULTS (R.C.I.A.)
Adults are welcomed into a Sacramental Preparation program for full communion with the Catholic Church, which begins every September. Participants receive the initiation Sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation, and Eucharist during the Easter Vigil Celebration.

Call to Sion
This is a program combining healing prayer and psychology to empower us so that we may receive and give love more freely. Through prayer and study of the eight stages of personality development we learn how to healing our wounds and celebrate the gifts of our lives.

FAITH FOR TODAY
This is a six week program on the prayers, practices and traditions and teachings of the Catholic Faith. It is offered between Easter and Pentecost and also serves as preparation for Adult Confirmation.

TASTE AND SEE – THE ST. JAMES BOOK CLUB
A five week summer program to read and discuss a selected book on spiritual topics.

SACRAMENTAL SPONSOR PROGRAM
Catechists are assigned to work with adults throughout the year, preparing them for the reception of the Sacraments.

PARISH LIBRARY
Books, videos, DVD’s and tapes are available for borrowing or viewing in our Parish Library located in the rear of the Parish Center.

SCRIPTURE STUDY
Bible study courses for adults during the Summer, Fall and Spring seasons. These programs are typically eight week sessions.

PURPOSE DRIVEN LIFE
Read and discuss this popular best seller, which provides a blueprint for living the Christian life, with other adults in our community.

CHRISTIAN YOGA – A Pathway to Prayer
Quiet the body through the practice of Yoga, so that you can be still and know your God!
