MOTHERS PRAYER GROUP
Mission Statement:
We GATHER as mothers to pray for our children, our families and ourselves.
We AFFIRM and SUPPORT one another in our call to motherhood through prayer and fellowship.
We actively seek to GROW in our faith and our relationship with God through reflection, prayer and sharing.
Purpose:
Motherhood is a sacred calling filled with much joy. But as many mothers know, there can also be times of great difficulty.
The purpose of this Mothers Prayer Group is to give thanks and praise for all of the blessings that the Lord gives us as mothers and to look to the Lord to guide us and strengthen us in our vocation.
We reflect on God’s Word and the movement of the Spirit in our lives. We gather to pray specifically for our children, for our needs as mothers and for our families.
It is also a time to affirm and support each through prayer and fellowship.
Activities:
We gather on the third Thursday of every month to listen to and reflect on God’s Word.
We meet in the Conference Room at the Parish Center. The prayer service begins at 7:30 p.m. After the prayer service, there is time for fellowship. “Coffee and” is served.
All mothers of the parish are invited to join us. If you would like additional information about Mothers Prayer Group, please contact Donna Wuhrer at the Parish Center (375-5887) or e-mail dwuhrer.stjamesparish@gmail.com
