Women's Annual Communion Breakfast

Sunday: April 19, 2015

But then I heard my Savior speaking:
Draw from my well that never shall run dry....

Ladies:
This year our theme for the Women's Communion Breakfast is:

"Fill My Cup Lord"

The cup has been a reminder of our spiritual thirst.  As we have held it, filled it, drank from it, emptied it and washed it, we have learned that it is throughout our ordinary human experiences that our thirst for God is quenched.  In the cup we see life, its emptiness, fullness, brokenness, flaws, and blessings.  The cup has taught us many valuable lessons for our spiritual growth.  We have learned that our life holds stale things that need to be discarded and that sometimes our life feels as wounded as a broken cup.  We have learned that we have flaws, chips and stains, just as any well-used cup may have.  The spiritual life is a journey toward becoming whole, a day-to-day movement of continually growing into the person we are meant to be.

We are looking for someone to share their cup with us, how the Lord filled your "Cup" when it was empty, broken or stained.  For example: Being a caregiver to a family member young or old, or going through something yourself.  We are looking for uplifting life journeys and as everyone knows, God has a sense of humor, He puts some laughter in even in the most trying moments.

The Women's Communion Breakfast is on April 19th, at the Trumbull Marriott.  Please let Karen Smith or Alexandra Langston know if you would kindly like to share your "Cup".

Thank you,
