Programs on Catholic Beliefs and Practices
To provide opportunities to study the beliefs, prayers, practices and
traditions of the Catholic faith so that parishioners may deepen their
relationship with Christ.
Children (6-13)
Religious Education
Classes are held throughout the school year for grades one through eight. Home-
schooling is also an option for your child. A materials fee is due upon registration.
It is a diocesan requirement that a child must be enrolled for at least two years
before reception of a sacrament. See the attached link for more information about
our program.
Adults
Scripture Study
Courses are offered in the Fall, Winter and Summer seasons. Classes are held
Monday and Wednesday evenings, and Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and
Saturday mornings.
Lenten Retreat
A six week program is offered during the Lenten season combining study,
prayer, and fafh sharing. The spirituality of a Catholic saint is the focus of the
study.
Desert Day
A day for study, sharing, reflection and prayer is offered during Lent focusing
on a teaching about scripture or some area of Catholic spirituality.
Week of Guided Prayer
A retreat week is offered within the parish in July. Prayer focuses on the two
practices of lectio divina ( sacred reading) and the examen- a daily review to
see where God is present or absent within our lives. The retreat combines
individual and communal prayer with daily meetings with a spiritual director.
Faith For Today
A refresher course for Catholics this program is offered in the Spring and can
also fulfill requirements for adult confirmation candidates.
